মহাশয়,
আমাৰ বিনীত নিবেদন এই যে মই কামৰূপ মহানগৰ জিলাৰ অন্তৰ্গত চামতা গাঁৱৰ এজন দৰিদ্ৰ লোক। আমাৰ পৰিয়ালত পত্নীৰ সৈতে তিনিজন পুত্ৰ আৰু দুগৰাকী কন্যা সন্তান আছে। আমি এসময়ত খেতি কৰি খাইছিলো। কিন্তু খেতি-মাটি নাইকিয়া হোৱাত এতিয়া দিন হাজিৰা কৰি কোনোমতে জীয়াই আছো। মই বৰ্তমান বৃদ্ধ আৰু ক্ৰমান্বয়ে ৰুগীয়া হৈ আহিছো। আৰ্থিক দুৰৱস্থাৰ বাবে ল’ৰা-ছোৱালী কেইটাকো পঢ়ুৱাব নোৱাৰিলো। এতিয়া এনে হৈছে এসাঁজ খালে আনসাজ লঘোণ দিবলগীয়া হয়।
গতিকে দয়ালু মহাশয়ৰ ওচৰত মই কাতৰ অনুৰোধ কৰিব খোজোঁ যেন মোৰ দুৰৱস্থাৰ কথা জানি মোৰ সকাহৰ বাবে এটা চৰকাৰী সাহায্যৰ ব্যৱস্থা কৰে যাতে এই দুখীয়া পৰিয়ালটোৱে কোনোমতে দুবেলা দুমুঠি খাই জীয়াই থাকিব পাৰে।

Subject: Application to the Deputy Commissioner praying for financial help under poverty eradication scheme.
Respected Sir,
I beg to state that I am a poor resident living in Chamata under the jurisdiction of Kamrup (Metro) District. Besides my wife, I have three minor sons and two daughters. I used to cultivate for our daily living. But at present I am a daily wage-earner as I do not have cultivable land at present and with great difficulty I have to earn my two meals. Moreover I have become old and various diseases have crippled me. I could not send my children to school for my acute poverty. The present plight is that we take one meal to starve another.
Therefore, I fervently request your honour to provide a government grant to give much needed relief to my poverty-stricken family members enabling them to live with two meals a day.
This is my prayer to your honor.
