1. What was the jackal’s plan to deceive the deer? 

Ans: The jackal devised a cunning plan to eat the deer by first gaining his trust through flattery and friendship. He then lured the deer to a lush, fertile field belonging to a farmer, where the deer grazed daily. Once the farmer set a trap, the deer was caught,the jackal’s ultimate goal was to eat the deer after the farmer killed it. 

2. What does the jackal mean when he says, “Where there is no scholar, even less learned is praised”?

Ans: The jackal meant that in the absence of true wisdom and  knowledgeable person, even those with little knowledge are considered wise. He used this saying to defend his newly friendship with the deer, implying that just like in barren lands even small plants are seen as big  trees, in the absence of better company, even he could be accepted.

Ans: In the inner tale,a cunning cat won the trust of an old ,blind vulture named ‘jaradgave’ and pretended to be self- righteous.once accepted into the culture’s house ,the cunning cat started eating the young fledglings.

Eventually,the bird’s founded the bones of their young in the culture’s hollow and, thinking the culture was responsible and decided to kill him.

Ans: The jackal befriended the deer, leading it to the farmer’s field. One day, the farmer noticed the deer and set a trap.When the deer returned to the field, it stepped into the trap and got caught. which was part of the jackal’s plan to eventually eat the deer.

5. How did the crow help the deer escape from the owner of the field?

Ans: When the crow saw the deer trapped, he prepared a plan. He instructed the deer to lie still with an inflated belly and stiff legs, pretending to be dead. As soon as the owner released the snare and began collecting the net, the crow gave a signal. The deer immediately jumped up and fled, and this way deer escaping the trap.

6. What was the outcome for the jackal in the end?

Ans: As the deer escaped, the farmer, shocked and angry, threw a stick in frustration. The stick hit the hiding jackal and killed him instantly. Thus, the jackal met his end due to his deceitful intentions.
