Ans: According to the author, the two purposes of education are to produce responsible and good citizens and to make people capable of facing challenges of life.

Ans: Education has different purposes. We commonly think that education is meant to prepare good professionals. We do not consider and count its moral and emotional purposes. It not only prepares good professionals but good humans also. It makes people good citizens, which further prepares a good society and good nation. Education makes a person emotionally strong, so that he is always ready to face the challenges of life and emerge as a winner. It strengthens the bond of brotherhood. So, the ultimate purpose of the education is to provide economic, moral, emotional and social strength to a person.

Q. 2. Why does stress happen and how can it be managed?

Ans: Stress occurs when someone is compelled to do work which is not of his interest or he finds that work beyond his capacity. Inferiority complex and failures also lead to stress. To combat the stress one should find the cause of the stress and analyse it. One should take up the work which one can easily accomplish. One should always think positively and hope for the best. Sharing one’s problems also removes the stress to some extent. One should have a cool and calm mind and he should behave patiently. Managing the time is another way of removing stress. Physical activities and other hobbies like reading, music, etc. also play an important role in getting rid of stress.
