Ranjit: Oh my god! I see my poem hear! Mam must have sent it to the newspaper. I never thought I could find my name in a newspaper some day. Look! the title of my poem is “Busy Bee”.

Mili: Ou! yeah poem? Let me recite it.

Busy Bee

I ran to the garden

to catch a busy bee,

‘It’ll sting’, said mother

Let it fly free.

It moves very gently

It make a lovely sound, 

How can such a lovely thing 

Sting me when I’m around?

মই বাগিছালৈ দৌৰি গৈছিলো

এটা ব্যস্ত মৌমাখি ধৰিবলৈ

মাই কৈছিল ‘ই বিন্ধিব’

ই বৰ ধুনীয়াকৈ উৰে

Mili: Sure. (Mili runs to her room. She comes back with a few of here drawings and shows them to Ranjit.)

অসমীয়া ভাবানুবাদঃ এদিন গধুলিপৰত নাছিৰুদ্দিন মোল্লা শুই আছিল। তেওঁৰ ঘৈণীয়েক পাকঘৰত আছিল। হঠাৎ তেওঁৰ ঘৈণীয়েকে এটা ডাঙৰ শব্দ শুনা পালে। তেওঁ ক’লে, “এইটো কি?” মোল্লাই ক’লে, “এইটো মোৰ চোলা।” ঘৈণীয়েকে সুধিলে, “চোলাটোৱে এনে এটা ডাঙৰ শব্দ কৰিব পাৰেনে?”“ও! চোলাটোৰ ভিতৰত মই আছিলো”, মোল্লাই উত্তৰ দিলে।
