Navakanta Barua got sahitya Akademi award in 1975 for his book ‘Kakadeutar Har’. He was also the president of Assam Sahitya Sabha. He died on 14 July, 2020.

Ans: Nirmal Prabha Bardoloi was born on 20th June,1933. She was an eminent poetess, writer and lyricist. She won Sahitya Akademi Award in 1983 and president award in 1967. She wrote many children literature and other notable books. Some of her books are Bon Faringar Rang, Samipesu, Antaranga, Shiva, Asamar lok katha etc. She died on 1 June, 2004. She was also the president of Assam Sahitya Sabha.
