Ans: Yes,  I tried to measure and cut accurately, but it was not perfect. Next time I will double-check all measurements and use a sharper pencil line to improve precision.

Ans: I joined the parts with wood glue and small bamboo pins. The pieces slipped slightly while drying, so next time I will use extra clamps or tape to hold them firmly until the glue sets.

3. Were you able to recreate your sketch in three-dimension (3D)? 

Ans: Yes, my prototype matched the sketch in height, width, and slot angle.

4. Show your model to your peers. What feedback did you get?

Ans: My classmates liked the smooth sanding and neat design and suggested adding varnish or light paint for a better finish.

Ans: The process I followed in making the wooden cutting board, along with the tools used are:

(i) Steel ruler (for measuring)

(ii) Pencil (for marking the wood)

(iii) Hacksaw (for cutting the wood)

(iv)  Bench vice (for holding the wood while cutting)

(v) Sandpaper (120-grit for smoothing and 220-grit for finishing)

(vi) Wood file (for rounding the corners)

(vii) Drill (with a wood drill bit for the handle hole)

(viii) Cloth (for applying the oil)

(ix) Food-safe mineral oil

4. Did you face any difficulties while making it, and how did you overcome them? 

Ans: I faced difficulties cutting the wood straight, sanding rough edges, and drilling the handle hole. I overcame them by measuring carefully, using a wood file and sandpaper, drilling slowly, and applying oil evenly with a cloth. Patience helped me get through these challenges.

5. What did you do to make the product look attractive?

Ans: To make the product look attractive, I sanded the edges smoothly, rounded the corners, and applied a clear mineral oil finish. This enhanced the wood’s natural grain and gave it a polished, shiny appearance, making the cutting board both functional and visually appealing.
