Ans :- The old woman looked ragged and gray. She bent with the chill of the wintery day.

Q.(ii) Why was she afraid of moving ?

Ans :- The old woman was afraid of moving because her feet were aged and slow.

Q.(iii) What did she pray that night and why ?

Ans :- The old woman whom the little boy helped her to cross the road protection her with his strong young arm remembered him in her prayers. She prayed to God to be kind to noble boy who was somebody’s son, pride and joy.
