How to Calculate the Expected Score?

The NEET PG Answer Key can help candidates estimate their probable marks. Candidates can calculate their score by comparing their responses with the official answers and applying the prescribed marking scheme.

The marking pattern includes:

Correct answer: +4 marks.
Incorrect answer: −1 mark.
Unanswered question: 0 marks.

For example, if a candidate answers 120 questions correctly and 30 incorrectly, the estimated score would be:

(120 × 4) − (30 × 1) = 450 marks.

Candidates should remember that this calculation only provides an estimate. The final score will depend on the official evaluation.

What Should Candidates Do After the Key Is Released?

After downloading the NEET PG Answer Key, candidates should carefully check their recorded responses.

They should:

Match every response with the provisional answer.
Calculate their expected marks.
Check whether NBEMS allows challenges against the provisional key.
Follow the official instructions if they want to raise a valid objection.
Save the response sheet and answer key for future reference.

Candidates should complete any objection process within the deadline mentioned by NBEMS.
