1. Let us plan a talk show in which our classmates will discuss how our schools should encourage girls to participate in sports and games.

3. What is menarche?

Ans: Menarche is the first menstrual period in a girl’s life. It usually occurs between 8 and 15 years of age and marks the beginning of reproductive maturity.

4. What is the Female Athlete Triad?

Ans: The Female Athlete Triad is a condition consisting of:

(i) Low Energy Availability.

(ii) Menstrual Dysfunction.

(iii) Low Bone Mineral Density (BMD).

It commonly affects athletes who train intensely but do not consume enough food to meet their energy needs.

5. Name any four menstrual disorders.

Ans: Four menstrual disorders are:

(i) Amenorrhea.

(ii) Dysmenorrhea.

(iii) Menorrhagia.

(iv) Oligomenorrhea.

Other disorders include PMS, Polymenorrhea, Metrorrhagia, and Postmenopausal Bleeding.
