1. Why was Chinna upset? 

Ans: Chinna was upset because when he reached into his pocket to pay for the tinkling bells, he was shocked to find that the money his Dadaji gave him was missing. He searched his pockets but could not find it.

2. How did Kamala help Chinna feel better? 

Ans: Kamala helped Chinna by asking him gently what happened and laying her hands softly on his shoulders. When he cried, she wiped his tears, consoled him, and promised to give him money to buy the bells. She then cheered him up by taking him to the market.

3. What did the fruit seller do by mistake? 

Ans: The fruit seller gave Chinna two ten-rupee notes as change instead of one. He gave Chinna ten rupees extra by mistake.

4. How did Chinna manage to buy the bells from Chacha in the end? 

Ans: Chinna managed to buy the bells because his mother, Kamala, was pleased with his honesty regarding the extra change. She took him back to Chacha’s shop, where Chinna paid ten rupees for the bells.
