7. In which female reproductive organ does the embryo get embedded?
Ans: The embryo gets embedded in the uterus of the female body. After fertilisation, the zygote (the single-cell formed by the fusion of sperm and egg) starts dividing and forms an embryo. This embryo travels through the fallopian tube and reaches the uterus, which is a soft, muscular organ in the female body.
The inner lining of the uterus is thick and has a good blood supply, which helps the embryo attach itself and grow safely into a baby.
8. What is metamorphosis? Give examples.
Ans: Metamorphosis is the process in which an animal changes its body form completely from a young stage to an adult stage.
