Q. (a) Who was Ekalavya?

Ans :- Ekalavya was a young prince of Nishadha clan.

Q. (b) What did he want to learn ?

Ans :- He wanted to learn shoot arrows under the Guru Dronacharya.

Q. (c) Who did he want to be his guru ?

Ans :- He wanted to be his guru Dronacharya.

Q. (d) Way did Drona refuse to teach him ?

Ans :- Drona refused to teach him because he was not a Kshatriya.

Q. (e) What did Ekalavya do then ?

Ans :- Ekalavya, then went away feeling sad.

Q. (f) How did he prove that he was a great archer ?

Ans :- Drona, his disciples with a number of dogs went to the forest for hunting and one of the dogs went to the point of the forest where Ekalavya was practising shooting arrows. When the dog was barking, Ekalavya shot a number of arrows which fitted the mouth of the dog without hurting it. Thus he proved that he was a great archer.

Ans :- Drona was surprised to see the dog with it’s month filled with arrows.

Ans :- Without a moment hesitation, he took out a sharp arrow and cut his right thumb and placed it at the acharya.

Ans :- No, he was not. Because Ekalavya bowed his guru and he made a clay figure of his guru and learnt the art of archery.
