Look at the pictures and answer

1. What can you see in Picture 1?

Ans: I can see farmers harvesting wheat in the fields and loading it into a truck.

2. Look at Picture 2. What is the man doing with the wheat?

Ans: The man is grinding wheat to make flour.

3. Look at Picture 4. Who are they? What are they doing?

Ans: They are women. They are kneading dough and making chapattis.

4. What is the girl doing in the last picture?

Ans: The girl is eating food with chapatti.

5. What do you have along with chapatti?

Ans: I have vegetables, dal or curry along with chapatti.

6. Have you seen a field? What was growing there? Speak about it.

Ans: Yes, I have seen a field. Wheat and rice were growing there.

Let us think

1. Have you seen a big laddoo? How big was it? Did you eat it all by yourself?

Ans: Yes, I have seen a big laddoo. It was very big. No, I did not eat it all by myself. I shared it with others.

2. Have you eaten anything that is very big? What was it?

Ans: Yes, I have eaten a big pizza.

3. What different kinds of laddoos have you eaten?

Ans: I have eaten boondi laddoo, motichoor laddoo and til laddoo.

4. Name a few things that are round in shape. Can you eat all of them?

Ans: That can be eaten:

(i) laddoo.

(ii) orange.

(iii) apple.

That cannot be eaten:

(i) ball.

(ii) stone.

(iii) marble.

5. The child threw the Big Laddoo into the sea. What do you think happened to the Laddoo?

Ans: The Big Laddoo got wet and melted in the sea.
