Ans: The deep saffron represents courage and sacrifice and reminds us of the freedom struggle’s patriots. The white in the middle is the symbol of purity,peace and truth. The dark green at the bottom represents life, fertility and prosperity. It stands for faith and strength.

Ans: The National Emblem of India is an adaptation from the Sarnath Lion as preserved in Sarnath Museum. It is in two parts the crest and the base.There are three lions standing back to back in the crest. The base has a wheel with a bull to the right and a horse to the left. The adage ‘Satyameva Jayate’ is inscribed below the base.

Modal is a verb.

Modal আন এটা verb ৰ লগত ব্যৱহাৰ হোৱা এটা verb (আন এটা Modal ৰ লগত নহয়)। ইয়াক সম্ভাৱনা, অনুমতি, বাধ্যতা আদি বুজাবলৈ বা প্ৰকাশ কৰিবলৈ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। Modal verb ৰ অকল এটাই আকৃতি। ইহঁতে ‘ing’, ‘বা’-ed’ আকাৰ নলয় আৰু 3rd person singular ত ‘s’ কেতিয়াও ব্যৱহাৰ নকৰে।

7. Imagine yourself as the National Flag of India. Now write a paragraph about yourself.

I am the National Flag of India. I am the most important and respected symbol of national identity. I help to create unity among the people of India.

I am a horizontal tricolour of rectangular shape. The ratio of my length and breadth is 3:2. I am deep saffron at the top, white in the middle and dark green at the bottom.

My saffron colour represents courage and sacrifice. White is the symbol of purity peace and truth. The dark green represents life, fertility and prosperity. I have a navy blue wheel in the centre of the white strip.

It has twenty four spokes and signifies motion progress and dynamism. People hoist me following certain rules.

I am equal for all the citizens of India. I belong to all of them and feel honoured when they show respect to me.

9. Tell your friends about your favourite national festival. 

তোমাৰ বন্ধুসকলক তোমাৰ প্ৰিয় ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় উৎসৱৰ বিষয়ে কোৱা―

Our country is a land of festivals. Diwali, Holi, Idd, Christmas, Durga Puja are some of our important festivals. Besides these we have three national festivals- The Independence Day, the Gandhi Jayanti and the Republic Day.

My favourite national festival is the Independence Day and it is the most important one. It is celebrated on 15th of August every year. On this day of the year 1947, India got her independence.

Since 1947, 15th August has been celebrated as a National festival in every corner of India every year. In Delhi it is celebrated with great pomp and show. Our National tricolour is hoisted at the Red Fort and different government and non government organisations. Schools and colleges also observe this special day in various ways. A big crowd of people gather every year around the Red Fort to celebrate this ceremony and to hear the speech of the Prime Minister who delivers a message to the nation.

These festivals bring the whole nation together and adds to the spirit of patriotism. I really feel proud of my country in such a festive mood.

ওপৰৰ Modals ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা শব্দকেইটাত ক্ৰমে ‘may’ য়ে permission (অনুমতি বিচৰা) বুজাইছে।’must’ য়ে (necessity or obligation) আৱশ্যক বা বাধ্যতা বুজাইছে। ‘might’ য়ে possibility সম্বাৱনা বুজাইছে আৰু ‘should’ য়ে duty কর্তব্যতা বুজাইছে।

এইদৰে বাকিবিলাক modals যেনে- can, could, will, would shall, should, ought to, need, dare আদি verb ৰ আগত বিভিন্ন অৰ্থ বুজাবলৈ ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। 

Modals are used before ordinary verbs and express meanings such as permissions, possibility, certainty and necessity.
