Ans: Tom was the envy of every boy at school because by the gap in his upper row of teeth he could spit in a new and admirable way.

Ans: Aunty pulled out Tom’s tooth. She tied one end of the silk-thread firmly to Tom’s tooth and tied the other end to the bed post and then she seized the chunk of fire and suddenly thrust it to the boy’s face. As a result the tooth pulled out from the jaw and dangled on the bed-post.

Ans: Mark Twain was born on 30th November 1835 in Florida He was a famous American humanist writer and a lecturer. His stories were about youthful adventures, these were collected in ‘The adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876), Life on the Mississippi (1883) and The adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1884). He died on 21 April in the year 1910 at redding. Mark Twain was his pen-name his actual name was Samuel Lang horne Clenmens.

(j) Narrate how Tom tried to stay away from school on Monday morning. (সোমবাৰে ৰাতিপুৱা টমে কিদৰে স্কুল নোযোৱাকৈ থাকিব বিচাৰে ব্যাখ্যা কৰা।) 

Ans: On Monday morning Tom felt unhappy because it began another week’s suffering at school. Therefore always on Monday he created a new scene to stay away from school.

On that day Tom decided to use the trick regarding the loose tooth at first but later on he changed his idea and acted with his sore toe. He started groaning on the bed which led to an unexpected situation. Tom groaned so admirably that his brother Sid thought it was real and called Aunty Polly. Infront of Aunty Tom got puzzled instead of sore toe he told about his loose tooth and finally it was pulled out. Aunty was quite aware of his tricks and he was sent to school.

10. When you were younger what were the excuse you made to avoid school. Share with your friends. 

Raju : Whenever there was cricket match in the T.V. I bunk my classes and sometimes avoid school also.

Most of the time I write application to Principal for half holiday, stating stomach-pain, headache or some homely urgent.

And to avoid school also most of the time I acted like stomach paining fever and. not feeling well etc.
